A fine artist based in Oxfordshire. Kate Jupe recently graduated from Bath Spa School of Art and Design with a BA Honors in Fine Art . “I am a mixed media artist and specialist in oil paint. I have an abstract practice which deals with themes such as nature, landscapes and perspective. I look to explore, experiment and push the boundaries of the materials I work with.”
Beya always has a sketchbook during her travels with some wax pastels and she draws what she sees, in her own way, with a lot of colours. A girl in a caffe, a bouquet of flowers, the grace of a mountain, everything is an excuse to draw. She draws on her memories and her imagination to compose illustrations that tell a story, her story.
In Transit is a participatory project looking at London collectively as a city of commuters. Combining her photography, collage and decorating skills, the artist hopes to achieve a better understanding of the city she lives in and the people who live there.

Maddie is a Peckham local and her brave expressive nature inspired paintings feel like the sea and a step into a place of freedom. She has recently completed a series of small paintings to accompany her current body of work. "The paintings are all studies from memory of coastal landscapes painted from the sea looking at the land. Caves in Paxos; an abandoned Pumice Quarry in Lipari; & Rock Beach in Cornwall at low tide are a few of the places I've painted for this series".

Boomerang: A Play by Ivana Mazza-Coates & Madeleine Shenai was first performed at The Park Theatre and subsequently The Arcola, Dalston. The team have been developing the comedy ever since and now, adapted for the space at Blue Shop, this contemporary yet nostalgic production will have you howling with laughter and memory.
Nuria Vila is coming over from Barcelona to teach us all about sustainable design. Her workshops for children and adults will be fun and playful and her lectures and workshops will be full of tips and tricks on how to be a more sustainable designer at a time where, more than ever, we must be more conscious about the materials and processes we are using.
Tactile was a mini-residency project aiming to exhibit, explore and enjoy the craft of hand lettering & sign painting.
From 5th-15th April, sign painters Jake Tyler and Hannah Sunny Whaler will be at Blue Shop Cottage painting letter tiles to order. With three paint your own tile workshops and a group panel discussion the team brought lots of people together to keep their love of the craft alive.
Jess Lucas, a local florist, decided to take over the shop for a week and transform it into an oasis of leaves and colour. She sold pre potted plants and cacti as well as arranging small to large bunches for all the South East London locals. With an opening launch party and heavy footfall throughout the week, in the gorgeous end of summer sun, Jess and her wonderful team did a fantastic job.
Faces in Focus were under the awning to present a collection of images representing and raising awareness around Mental Health to raise money for Mind. "Mind is a collection of stories surrounding the theme of mental health and the mind. Sold in a limited edition in aid of mental health organisations Head Talks."
Fred and his boys took over the shop with their gorgeous wooden bar and together we decorated the windows and filled the space with plants and books and hooked up a soundsystem. Live Music and incredible cocktails meant people poured in and Cock&Tail are returning at the end of the summer.
