BSC presents 'Somewhere' by Beya Rebai

Beya Rebaï was born in Paris, France in 1995. She studied illustration in Brussels, Belgium, during three years. She proceeded with a master degree of illustration in Paris. Fascinated by colour, especially by the artistic current of the Nabis, she builds her drawings with a narrow and carefully selected colour palette.  Beya always has a sketchbook during her travels with some wax pastels and she draws what she sees, in her own way, with a lot of colours.

BSC presents photographs by James Monnington

James Monnington is a marine ecologist, freediver, and wildlife photographer. He travels the world exploring the ocean’s shallows, capturing the wildlife he comes across in striking black-and-white photographs. But it’s not just foreign waters he’s drawn to – James frequently dives off the coasts of his native Britain, playing with the wildlife around Cornwall and Wales.  His show will be made up of limited edition beautifully printed and framed dramatic black and white photographs taking you into the deep.

Graduating from Bath School of Art and Design in 2018, Kate Jupe is an abstract painter based in Oxfordshire. Her solo show ‘Where I roam’ is made up of paintings and drawings. “I am a mixed media artist and specialist in oil paint. Tactile : An immersive signwriting show

Tactile was a mini-residency project aiming to exhibit, explore and enjoy the craft of hand lettering & sign painting.

 From 5th-15th April, sign painters Jake Tyler and Hannah Sunny Whaler will be at Blue Shop Cottage painting letter tiles to order. With three paint your own tile workshops and a group panel discussion the team brought lots of people together to keep their love of the craft alive.

Florist Gump Flower Shop

Jess Lucas, a local florist, decided to take over the shop for a week and transform it into an oasis of leaves and colour. She sold pre potted plants and cacti as well as arranging small to large bunches for all the South East London locals. With an opening launch party and heavy footfall throughout the week, in the gorgeous end of summer sun, Jess and her wonderful team did a fantastic job.

Cock & Tail Cocktail Bar

Fred and his boys took over the shop with their gorgeous wooden bar and together we decorated the windows and filled the space with plants and books and hooked up a soundsystem. Live Music and incredible cocktails meant people poured in and Cock&Tail are returning at the end of the summer.
