14.00 - 16.00 Adults session | £15pp

Join us for a hands-on creative workshop for all ages to play, invent and assemble, using natural and recycled offcuts from Sedilia’s hand-made furniture practice. Participants will discover the hidden life of everyday materials, how they feel, connect and become something new.

Guided by a Material Library, discover the stories, textures, and qualities of these secondary raw materials. Then, dive into intuitive making: assemble your own mini sculptures or abstract creations using only string and wire—no glue, just imagination.

Celebrate reuse, creativity and exploration in this tactile environment.

No experience needed. Just curiosity.

Maximum of 2 adults per child

STUDIP TIP is a creative studio finding local circular solutions for waste resources. Their mission is to uplift and utilise undervalued materials to collectively benefit industry, communities and the environment.

Katie May Boyd and Charlotte Kidger are designers with 10 years experience in materials across the design industry spanning CMF, strategy, textiles, public art, sculpture and furniture. MANIFESTO

At Studio TIP we believe that in the post-industrial world, western society has developed a broken relationship with materials. This breakdown contributes to our loss of connection with the earth and the materials that build the infrastructure of our modern lives. Within our work we want to explore how we rebuild this  relationship and what this dialogue looks like in a world of contemporary, industrial materials. We aim to make positive, tangible and pragmatic material solutions that are equally accessible and inspiring for both local and global communities and wider industries.

SEDILIA design and make exceptional upholstered furniture in their southwest London workshop. Defined by a distinctive, reductive aesthetic, their work can be recognised by its elegant proportions and purity of line. Established in 1998, their founder Robert Stephenson and the Sedilia team bring decades of experience to their craft, imbuing everything they create with their collaborative skill and passion.

MANIFESTO

Guided by quality, comfort and sustainability, we combine heritage hand-craftsmanship with contemporary intelligence and our refined aesthetic to create furniture that both stands apart, and stands the tests of time. Our approach is meticulous and purposeful; diligence, knowledge, imagination and expertise underpin our work with an unrivalled authenticity.
As Makers Designers, Designers Makers, we take ownership of the entire creative process; our team see our furniture all the way through from conception to completion. This gives us all an intuitive understanding of each stage of the process, and the masterful skills required to bring our collective vision to life.
