Ilona Pimbert lives and works in London. She is of English, French, and Ivorian Heritage. She studied at Chelsea and St Martins School of Art and was awarded the Queen's Scholarship (QEST) during her time there to support her experiments in animation. Since then, she has been painting and printing regularly at Artichoke Print Workshop, in Brixton. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, and her works are held in both public and private collections. She has been selected for the last four Woolwich Contemporary Print Fairs, the New English Art Club exhibition 2024 and for Awagami International Print exhibition in Japan. "I am a painter and printmaker living and working in London. I create landscapes from observation and imagination, and scapes that invite the viewer into an abstract world filled with texture and colour. I constantly return to trees, water, the sea, the rain, the sky, the wind, the sun, the stars, the human body - anything that speaks of the elements and the universe. I like to think in light, colour, movement and energy. My work celebrates nature in a non linear, circular way."
