Harding holds a BA in Fine Art from Ruskin School of Art Oxford University (1991-94) and an MA from Falmouth University (2000-03). She has exhibited across the UK, Europe and South Africa, most recently with Candida Stevens Gallery. Based in North Cornwall the rugged coastline and wind sculpted trees dominate her current paintings. Harding plays with perspective using a variety of techniques. Key to their creation the paintings have often lived many lives, repeatedly reworked often over years. A purely studio practice she takes surreal glimpses of familiar motifs captured using a mobile phone camera while on daily commutes, these are then sporadically referenced during paintings reinvention. These works develop on from a unplanned discovery of vase type forms created during play with reflected headlands.
