Mark Beldan is a London-based painter, originally from Toronto, Canada. Recent solo exhibitions include Regular Nature at Window 135 in London and Brick & Mortar at One Wall Gallery in Eugene, Oregon. From 2019 to 2022 he produced and hosted The Skelf Podcast, a series of artist interviews. In 2022 and 2023 he was an artist in residence at Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts on Toronto Island. He is currently working on a stage set for a new dance performance by Corali at The Place, London. Mark Beldan’s small gouache works explore the strangeness of everyday spaces, reimagining the details of gardens and houses in playful ways. Unexpected colours become a way to make the familiar unfamiliar.
