1992 — Born in Voronezh, Russia. Lived in Moscow, currently based in Paris, France. EDUCATION 2018–2012 — Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov, Faculty of Graphics 2012–2007 — Voronezh Art College, Faculty of Painting and Pedagogy For the last two and a half years, I have been in forced emigration, having lived in several countries and different cities. During this time, I focused mostly on finding a new home and new meanings, while simultaneously creating a lot of art in various techniques and formats. I was literally hiding behind all of this from the surrounding horror and uncertainty. Once I found my place geographically, I involuntarily focused on working with abstraction, while maintaining a connection to realism. I enjoy not being afraid and giving myself permission to make mistakes, and thanks to this, I’ve truly experimented with many things I had once denied myself. I value graphic art and have a deep affection for paper: its surface, its edges. For me, the interactions between the white empty space and color, stain, texture are important, and right now I’m particularly fascinated by these relationships. This is my natural refuge, where I can spend hours without looking back. Currently, I work mostly with monotype and watercolor, but I also create paintings on canvas and monumental mosaics.
