Catrin Llwyd (b.1988) graduated from the Cardiff School of Art and Design in 2010. "I have continually evolved my artistic practice, exploring the interplay between the tangible and the ethereal. Working primarily on paper and canvas, I embrace a diverse range of mediums—from watercolours to oil paintings—to capture the natural world and craft atmospheric landscapes that blur the line between reality and imagination. Drawing inspiration from both urban and rural surroundings, my work invites viewers into a dialogue with nature's ever-shifting moods and the poetic resonance of everyday scenes. I have exhibited in numerous shows, including ‘Into a Light’ at the Saatchi Gallery (Prints and Original Gallery) in Manchester, the Contemporary Art Fair, the Royal Academy Summer Show, and the London Art Fair, as well as ‘Roger Cecil and 4 Contemporary Painters’ at Oriel Myrddin in Carmarthen and Mostyn OPEN19 in North Wales. In addition, I have held solo exhibitions in both Cardiff and Australia. My work is represented in private collections in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Germany, and is included in the UK Government Art Collection. I currently live and work in Cardiff, Wales.
